AND NOW FOR THE HISTORY OF CANDY CORN...

Love it....hate it....Just as Peeps are most traditionally associated with Easter, Candy Corn is most traditionally associated with Halloween.

It has had, however, a fascinating history; read all about it here.

On another note, residents recall their parents buying everything from Trick or Treat bags to Collegeville Costumes at Pop Berger's, the Grand Union, Woolworth's in the Beach Shopping Center, or Elliott's......

A time when Halloween wasn't so "complicated".....for some folks at least.....

  1. used to eat this by the pound and weekly jawbreakers. No more of course but there are times when I miss it. Black licorice too.
