RALPH & DAVE'S IS CLOSING

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Received the very sad news today about Ralph & Dave's. Good luck in your future endeavors.

Steve and I are sitting here putting this message together. First off we would like to thank all of our loyal customers who have come here and made friends, had celebrations and just got to know us and our staff. Then to thank our unbelievable staff, Casey who's been here since the beginning, Sean, Aurora, Austin, Allanah, Alexandra, Johnny, Kara, Jessica, Marco, Hector and Kia who have been so loyal and represented us so well! But it has come to a time when we had to make some very hard decisions, and have decided it is time to close the doors for good here at Ralph and Dave's.

Since Dave's departure my friend Steve Welles became a partner and helped keep The restaurant running for almost another year. I think we had a great concept, providing good fresh seafood and steaks, great classic cocktails and personable service. But all good things must come to an end, thank you to our other partner Mark for believing in us and helping us out until the end...http://bit.ly/2aimfLw

THE SCHOENHUTT HUMPTY DUMPTY CIRCUS

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

AMAZING SCHOENHUT DISPLAY, A MESSAGE FROM CROTON'S TOM MIANO OF SERIOUSTOYZ

BACK IN 2014, TOM MANO gave us the scoop on a special exhibit of Schoenhut toys at the Coney Island Sideshow Museum in Brooklyn, NY. This was a unique opportunity to see a giant set-up of the "Humpty Dumpty" circus. With over 200 original pieces, this was one of the largest Schoenhut collections ever exhibited, and everything was set up in a large display, with dozens of "acts" going on. Additionally, there was a separate display of Schoenhut's extremely rare "Teddy Roosevelt on Safari" set. A stop-action movie created with the collection's figures was also being shown.

We've had a request to see those photos again--click on the images below--ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.

And stay tuned for news about the upcoming auction at SERIOUSTOYZ.COM--which has had to be postponed due to a serious illness in the family. Please keep Tom in your prayers.
