ON THIS DATE IN 1964...MY FAIR LADY PREMIERED IN NEW YORK

On this date in 1964 the film version of "My Fair Lady" directed by George Cukor and starring Rex Harrison and Audrey Hepburn premiered in New York (Academy Awards Best Picture 1965).

    One of the best films of all time. It was the first time I ever heard a Cockney accent which my grandfather reportedly had.
