Welcome to EverythingCroton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Las Posadas ~ A Spanish Tradition ~ ended last night at Holy Name of Mary Church (click on the link http://www.flickr.com/photos/22283683@N07/6563758279/in/photostream). If you haven't yet attended any of the events sponsored by Holy Name's Spanish Ministry, we encourage you to do so. Good food, fellowship, music abounds, and all are welcome.

More photos from last night's Las Posadas have been sent directly to the coordinators for the Spanish Ministry and the church administrator Cheryl Comitto. Feliz Navidad.

YOUR DRINKING WATER--A 2011 MESSAGE FROM THE VILLAGE

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

The village has sent by regular post, a notice dated 12/14/11 concerning September 2011 "more than two" coliform incidents involving our drinking water. The notice was not received until today. As many people simply throw out these notices, we felt it was important to scan it and place it online. Click on the image to the right.

MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

We just love the ad to the right--a page from the 1958 Sears Christmas Wishbook catalog. It just screams 1950's! Dad with his new shotgun, Mom with her new luggage, Junior with his new bike and of course “Susie” with her doll and carriage! Click on the photo.

And...

It is with great pleasure that we announce the arrival of writer and fellow collector Antoinette Stockenberg’s 2011 Vintage Christmas Mantle, wonderful and quite early—made in Japan putz houses complete with vintage zinnfiguren a.k.a. tin/lead flats! Click on the link, read the lovely story, then keep scrolling down the page: http://www.antoinettestockenberg.com/Putz2011.htm

Welcome to EverythingCroton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Many thanks to Croton's Volunteer Fire Department for once again transporting Santa Claus through the village—this time on his annual Candy Cane Run, a long-standing Croton tradition.

Santa was spotted at the municipal building this morning and was more than happy to oblige with a ho-ho-ho! CLICK ON THE LINK https://www.flickr.com/photos/22283683@N07/6488796115/in/photolist-iwwwR8-iwwwE6-iwwwQM-aToM26-dBDkmG
