THAT GLASGOW CLIMATE EVENT IN THE NEWS, PRIVATE JETS EMIT MORE C02 THAN SCOTS CHURN OUT IN A YEAR

Just as the private jets of the global elites swarm to Davos, Switzerland, every year for the World Economic Forum, so too are they descending on Glasgow for this week’s COP26 climate conference.

The Sunday Mail reports some 400 private jets are due to disgorge their cargo of world leaders and business executives for the event. In doing so, they will dump thousands of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. CRT IN THE NEWS: FOR THOSE FOLLOWING THAT DELETED TWEET FROM IBRAM KENDI THAT ACCIDENTALLY REFUTES CRT IN ITS ENTIRETY

Boston University professor Ibram X. Kendi — a leading proponent of Critical Race Theory (CRT) — posted and later deleted a tweet that accidentally refuted the entire left-wing ideology.  On Friday evening, Kendi shared an article from The Hill noting that many white students applying to college falsely claim that they belong to racial minority groups — specifically, “to improve their chances of getting accepted” or “get minority-focused financial aid.”.....Kendi explained: “More than a third of White students lied about their race on college applications, and about half of these applicants lied about being Native American. More than three-fourths of these students who lied about their race were accepted.”....Many social media users quickly realized that a true “systemically oppressive” nation would not go out of its way to expedite and bankroll the education of “oppressed” racial groups — to the extent that students in the “oppressor” category would falsely identify as purported victims of the system in order to reap its benefits.

The Croton Seniors celebrated their 1st post covid Halloween party in the community room at the municipal building on Friday the 29th.  There were approximately 35 members and as you can see there were plenty of laughs and fun for the group.  The best costume prize went to Marilyn Grantner, as the scarecrow, the O'Learys were the best couple winners as the gorilla and witch, most creative went to the Tuttles, as the roaring twenties couple. Who died this date in 2007. A very talented singer and actor....

Best remembered for his roles in MAN OF LA MANCHA and opposite Richard Burton in the original production of Camelot....

He's pictured here in a 1967 print ad for Hueblein Ready Mixed Martinis!

New York state’s mammoth pension fund is pulling $111 million in investments out of the firm that owns Ben & Jerry’s because of the ice cream maker’s boycott of Israel’s occupied territories, The Post has learned. FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW---The Land Camera is a model of self-developing film camera manufactured by Polaroid between 1948 and 1983. It is named after their inventor, the American scientist Edwin Land, who developed a process for self-developing photography between 1943 and 1947. After Edwin Land's retirement from Polaroid, the name 'Land' was dropped from the camera name. The first commercially available model was the Model 95, which produced sepia-colored prints in about 1 minute^. It was first sold to the public on November 26, 1948. As for author Mary Shelley, she was a fascinating woman, who died tragically from a brain tumor at the age of 53...

Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (née Godwin; 30 August 1797 – 1 February 1851) was an English novelist, short story writer, dramatist, essayist, biographer, and travel writer, best known for her Gothic novel Frankenstein: or, The Modern Prometheus (1818).

She also edited and promoted the works of her husband, the Romantic poet and philosopher Percy Bysshe Shelley. Her father was the political philosopher William Godwin, and her mother was the philosopher and feminist Mary Wollstonecraft. 

  

Recent scholarship has yielded a more comprehensive view of Shelley's achievements. Scholars have shown increasing interest in her literary output, particularly in her novels, which include the historical novels Valperga (1823) and Perkin Warbeck (1830), the apocalyptic novel The Last Man (1826) and her final two novels, Lodore (1835) and Falkner (1837).

First responders dedicate their lives to save lives. They are the people who run toward a crisis while the rest of the world flees. According to the Department of Homeland Security, 4.6 million career and volunteer first responders support the communities where they live. AG GARLAND REFUSES TO RETRACT CONTROVERSIAL SCHOOL BOARD MEMO DURING SENATE HEARING

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) called on Attorney General Merrick Garland to “resign in disgrace” after an intense exchange over Garland’s controversial school board memo during a Wednesday hearing with the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The Arkansas Republican began his line of questioning by pointing attention to the National Institutes of Health admitting to funding gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at China’s Wuhan lab — despite Fauci repeatedly insisting to Congress that no such thing happened.

“Are you investigating Tony Fauci for lying to Congress?” Cotton asked.

Loudoun County parents demand superintendent and school board members resign over 'cover-up' of sexual assault in order to 'push school's pro-transgender policies' 

Enraged Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) parents called on Superintendent Scott Ziegler and the district's board members to resign 

• An email surfaced last week where Ziegler reported an alleged sexual assault in the girls' bathroom but on June 22 publicly said he had no record of assaults 
• Parents stood outside the meeting in Virginia holding placards that read: 'Protect girls not gender' and' 'women and girls are not collateral damage'
• Scott Smith, the assault victim's father, was pictured with a bloody mouth, being dragged out of the June school board meeting
• Smith and his wife were shamed for  protesting against the school's pro-transgender policy 8040 after the incident
• On Monday a Loudoun County judge found the boy 'in a skirt' guilty of sexually assaulting Smith's 15-year-old daughter in the girls' bathroom

Long time Croton resident, Tony Gagliotti pepares to cut his 90th birthday cake with wife Ronnie. He celebrated with approximately 40 Senior Club members at their weekly Friday meeting at the municipal building.

The Seniors will have a bring your own lunch Halloween party this coming Friday the 29th. 

New members always welcome. Social hour begins at 11 with business meeting to follow at 12.
