Keep all that fab info coming!

As always, click on the photos and links.

First up....

One of our favorite houses from Howard, an oldie but goodie; his interpretation of a vintage brick printed putz house. See and read more here about the Wreath House.

And check out another fab repro of those dime-store cardboard putz houses from the 1950's....

TEN CENT CITY!

This printie (some folks call them "brickies)---is a knock-out in blue; see the pattern and more here.  The house can also be seen in previous color incarnations via assorted pages found at the forum link above.  Keep scrolling down the page once you get there.  And drum roll please......

Every putz village needs....a Muffin Man!
Howard's latest faux flattie, the pattern and how to--can be found here.

He's followed by.....One of our favorites from Retro Renovation is featuring an amazing vintage red dinette set in a previous edition; read more about it here http://bit.ly/1H7pPW4

That got us to remembering this 1950's green dinette that was featured in a local shop some years back. In reasonably good condition at the time although it did have some wear and tear issues--and it might have come home with a friend--except that the seller was looking for an obscene amount.

The friend opted to go with a repro instead and even with shipping, saved over $400!

The moral here is that you can achieve a retro look without paying overblown prices for the originals....the red dinette discussed over at Retro Renovation, however, was a real bargain at $800 given its minty goodness. And finally, a great promo for The Adventures of  Ozzie & Harriet Show---and remembering Ricky Nelson...we were reminded of the singer when "I went to a garden party" popped into our feed tonight....Again click on the photos and links.

    1. Howard uses different types but is very fond of cereal box cardboard.
