REMEMBERING ELLA FITZGERALD

Who died this date in 1996. Known as "The First lady of Song", here's a very young Ella to the right, circa early 1950's. 

Interpreter of the Great American Songbook. She sold 40 million copies of her more than 70 albums, won 13 Grammy Awards and was awarded the National Medal of Arts.
