Cuomo calls on NYC prosecutors to crack down on looters....New York City’s district attorneys must get tough with looters capitalizing on the George Floyd protests — by charging them strongly enough to keep them from walking free without bail to strike again, Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s full of it on looters and the no-bail law...Right now, anyone arrested for looting gets rapidly released, with no need to post bail to avoid jail until trial. Gov. Andrew Cuomo could fix it — but he’s instead pretending that the laws aren’t crystal-clear. That would be laws Cuomo has signed, including last year’s horrific “no bail” law and this year’s inadequate fixes to it. DOZENS OF SUSPECTED LOOTERS ARRESTED--Dozens of suspected looters were arrested in Soho Sunday night as protests over the death of George Floyd descended into chaos. A group of 12 people were busted by cops outside Nike Soho on Broadway as a number of high-end boutiques — and even a Bloomingdale’s department store — were looted overnight Sunday.
