MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

As always, some wonderful finds, oldies but goodies, and much more. Click on the photos and and links.

First up: Now here's some architectural inspiration for all you model and putz house builders courtesy of SuzeeQ who also says that this building, located in downtown Van Buren, Arkansas, and now home to a Bed and Breakfast, has long been reputed to be haunted. True or not, the building's details are neat. It's followed by, courtesy of FilePhoto, a scene from THE BLACK CAT, and just in time for Halloween---the 1934 horror film starred Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi and was Universal Pictures' biggest box office hit of the year. You can read more here

They're followed by one of our favorite scenes from Antoinette Stockenberg's 2011 Christmas putz village mantle, featuring a very early--and one of our favorite--putz churches. See all of her Christmas mantles throughout the years here http://www.antoinettestockenberg.com/xmas.htm

And finally, courtesy of Pete Oehmen, more vintage Christmas goodness from the Golden Glow of Christmas Past 2019 Convention.

Again, click on the photos and enjoy!

Look what Howard found by accident---colored sand--lots of color offerings...and where were they?  WHILE SUPPLIES LAST OF COURSE https://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_classic-colored-sand-cssand

A friend of your editor makes these mod podge/faux stained glass/tissue papers jars for Christmas gifts. I thought, if applied to clear acetate for example, it might have a use for stained glass windows in putz houses.....here's the tutorial link she recommended

So worth looking at again-courtesy of the BINGINDOORTRAINS forums--a great photo gallery of Lionel trains, Pre-War O-Guage--just keep scrolling down the page once you get there. Some wonderful examples; click here
