MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

As always, some wonderful finds, oldies but goodies and another minty, early made in Japan putz house photo from the 2019 Golden Glow of Christmas Past Convention, courtesy of Peter Oehmen. CLICK ON THE PHOTOS AND LINKS.

First, the oldie but goodie--back in 2014, your editor nearly jumped out of her shoes when she found this orphan Christmas photo @ the Peekskill Attic Treasures Flea Market--and for the princely sum of a dollar.

For those who don't know, the term "orphan photo" applies to found photos that are no longer with their families. Probably 1930's or earlier--the back is marked Gourocle or Gourock Scotland. It's also been sliced up into smaller sections so you can appreciate all its vintage Christmas goodness. Periodic attempts are made to locate its Scottish "family" without success--but that's the way it is with orphan photos most of the time.

Another oldie but goodie--Thomas Toys P-80 Shooting Star: The straight-winged Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star was the United States Army Air Force's first operational jet fighter going from design to build in just 143 days in 1943! READ AND SEE MORE HERE
