The Gazette is on sale just about everywhere.

LETTERS REGARDING THIS ISSUE START ON PAGE 2:

--A letter from May Pearson on behalf of the Pearson Family—“any proposed change to the residency requirement for our parks would be an insane move”; please make sure to read the entire letter.

--A much more lengthy letter from Matthew Rubenstein thanking the paper for its coverage; proposes that the “village extend the existing residency requirement for visiting these Croton River parks (i.e. Silver Lake, Mayo’s Landing, and all others along the river) to include the parking on the streets that service them”. These people will then go to Croton Point Park (paying the fee) and/or the Croton Landing waterfront, open to everyone. They ask that the police enforce these rules with citations, not verbal warnings. There is much more. Please make sure to read the entire letter.

--A letter from Paul Steinberg regarding the village board’s role (and more) in the ongoing “opening parks to non-residents” issue; https://everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2019/08/a-letter-from-8119-gazette-issue-of-non.html

There may be additional letters on these issues, unknown at the present time.

  2. Cut off parking and you cut off access. It has to be done, and we need to stop pussyfooting around with cute little meetings. We all saw what a difference coordinated enforcement makes. THAT is what will fix this problem.
