A QUICK EVERYTHING CROTON WRAP-UP OF RECENT CROTON RIVER/AREA EVENTS, CONCERNS, QUESTIONS, ETC.

8/21/19--First, many thanks for the additional law enforcement presence at these sites. Residents report that it has helped immensely.

Thanks as well to the kayakers who continue to remove garbage in the water; this morning your editor spotted two kayakers toting black bags of trash near the train trestle.  These are people who are truly part of the solution.

Thanks as well to the village for recent water testing at a resident's prompting; many other village residents have expressed that they hope this testing will include additional sites where applicable.  You are encouraged to contact the village board/staff directly.

To the reader who has suggested that additional warning signs be posted in these areas in additional languages such as Arabic, French, German, Chinese etc., "to better reflect our diverse society" and that local businesses should be compelled to "educate the public", there are numerous other pages and websites for your lengthy manifesto.  Please feel free to take advantage of them or in the alternative, start your own blog.

WRAPPING UP:

--Mayo's remains closed; results of recent water tests here

--CONTINUED COVERAGE OF CROTON RIVER ISSUES, INCREASED ENFORCEMENT ETC. WEEKEND OF 8/17 & 8/18---MORE HERE.

--The water testing info appeared in the Patch and also in MIDHUDSON NEWS TODAY
