For about two weeks now, we have heard the pleading "feed me, feed me" call of a juvenile hawk in the area. We could easily spot the parents--red tailed hawks or so they seemed--in assorted locations on the street-- but could never locate the offspring.

Until today..... there he was...out on his own...at the top of an evergreen tree...right across the street....and still complaining.....click on the photo.
