HEAT WAVE, THE LATEST FROM ROB & MONICA--HEAT WAVE!

The third weekend in July brought us the first wave of oppressive heat of the season. We have had a pretty hot July but this weekend brought it to a whole new level. It was a three day weekend for us since we chose Friday as a vacation day. It only hit 83 degrees on Friday, which is where it should be, but it was the dew point that made it tough. With dew points way above the 70 mark, the humidity put the real feel temperature into the mid-90's. Friday was the cool day. The thermometer reached 98 degrees both Saturday and Sunday and, with the humidity hanging like a blanket over our heads, the real feel temperatures neared 110 degrees.
