ANOTHER FILM FOR THE BUCKET LIST: MRS. MINIVER

A MUST SEE:  "Mrs Miniver" ... based on the novel by Jan Struther, directed by William Wyler and starring Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon.  The film won the Academy Award for Best Picture. The supporting cast is also excellent.

Mrs. Miniver also received the Academy Award for Best Director (William Wyler), Best Actress (Greer Garson), and Best Supporting Actress (Teresa Wright). Click on the photos and links.

For those who don't know, MRS. MINIVER shows how the life of an unassuming British housewife in rural England is touched by World War II.

In 2006, it was ranked number 40 on the American Film Institute's list celebrating the most inspirational films of all time.

Our friends at European Film Star postcards have an excellent post that features Greer Garson, Walter Pidgeon and more.
