REMEMBERING JACK PALANCE

Who died this date in 2006....Our friends at European Film Star Postcards did a superb post on Palance last year:

Jack Palance (1919-2006) was an American actor and singer, who portrayed some of the most intensely despised villains witnessed in Westerns and melodramas of the 1950s. In the late 1950s, he became an international star, who often played in Spaghetti Westerns and in the Nouvelle Vague classic Le Mépris (1963) with Brigitte Bardot. He was nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, winning an Oscar for his grizzled, eccentric role in City Slickers (1991). READ AND SEE MORE HERE.

ADDITIONALLY, there was a gala tribute to Palance in Los Angeles in 2019.  Read and see more about that here.
