CROTON FIRE DEPARTMENT VOLUNTEERS COMPLETE CHALLENGING EXTRICATION CLASS

November 7, 2021----This past weekend, several members of the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department traveled to Wharton, New Jersey for two full days of advanced vehicle extrication training.
The course - presented by the instructors of Northeast Squad Concepts - was attended by firefighters from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Maryland. On the first day, members reviewed the use of Rescue Air Bags, Cable & Chain winches, hoists and come-alongs, struts, cribbing, various saws, hydraulic tools and much, much more.
