But first, it's fresh corn season----time to start making---and preserving---SWEET CORN RELISH; here's the recipe your editor uses--and it is very similar to an old Mennonite recipe---but your editor adds several dollops of sweet pickle relish at the end---and while this recipe uses green peppers, red is a personal preference.  Many thanks to THE DARING GOURMET--for the how-to, click here.

MOVING ALONG.....It's no secret every time we hit the supermarket....Consumer prices increased 5.4% for the year ending May (forecasters had expected a 4.9% increase) It's the biggest increase since 2008.....and so....
