The news is in---it's not good--- A key inflation metric monitored by the Federal Reserve soared 6.4 percent in February compared to a year ago, reaching a new 40-year high.  The latest price surge, which effected the price of fuel, groceries and other consumer essentials, represents the largest year-over-year increase since January 1982...MORE FROM THE NATIONAL REVIEW HERE.

  1. My mother makes a phyllo dough dessert every Easter that has been in our family for generations. It is not inexpensive to make. With prices the way they are and fourteen people coming, she wasn't sure she could make it. These side recipe suggestions are very welcome!

  2. We normally have a small ham for certain relatives and lamb-chops for other relatives. The lamp chop relatives will be out of town this year. My husband is secretly grateful about that. Has anyone seen the price of lamp chops lately? Then as Bloomberg recently said, eat lentils.
