CROTON HARMON SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES 2022-2023 BUDGET THAT WILL GO TO VOTERS

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship---in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

FROM THE CROTON HARMON SCHOOL DISTRICT FB PAGE:

The Board of Education of the Croton-Harmon Union Free School District unanimously approved the budget that will be presented to voters for the 2022-23 school year at its meeting last evening. The $52,672,111 budget involves a proposed tax levy increase of 1.92%, which is within the allowable levy limit and is below the median tax levy increase in Westchester County.  “The budget is developed with the goal of striking a balance between providing an increased range of opportunities to educate, challenge, and support our students across all schools while being cognizant of the needs of our taxpayers,” said Superintendent Stephen Walker. “This budget was also developed with the goal of demonstrating our commitment to continuously look ahead, so that we can seize opportunities and evolve our curriculum and programming to prepare students for their future after they leave our district.”
