The friend didn't remember it at all...just
the heavy black telephone that could have dispatched an intruder with
one well-placed smack across the chops. That model served her family for
years before being replaced with the latest in technology--a 1970's mock
crocodile wall mount in the kitchen----a reminder of the days when telephones were considered important decor.....
All that brought back this
