THE CROTON SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL, RASHOMON, 1978, WITH A SEGUE INTO THE LATE JAMES (JIMMY) CRONIN

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship -- in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Had a request for an item from The Croton Shakespeare Festival....

Click on the photos and links for Rashomon (1978)--with Lynda Kavy, Larry Murray and Stephen Webb. Marc D Macrini was the martial arts coach and choreographed the fight scenes. They used real samurai swords!

Also shown on the program sheet is a second listing  for The Children'sTheater and mentioning the late James (Jimmy) Cronin.

For those who don't know, Mr. Cronin was very active in the arts community.

Both he and his wife Gaynell led the Croton Children’s Theater "for more than fifty years where generations of youth were engaged in understanding how to work together to bring life to the imagination".

You can read more about him here.
