MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

As always, some wonderful new finds, oldies but goodies, special requests and more. Click on the photos and links.

We just had to share this page from SCREENLAND magazine 1923 of silent film actress Nita Naldi--whose real name was Mary Dooley--something we would not have believed possible given the exotic looking woman pictured here. You can read more about her here.

Naldi is followed by a fantastic photo that features  just a small sample of what you used to find at the now closed---and hopefully soon to re-open in its new location---the NATIONAL CHRISTMAS MUSEUM a.k.a. National Christmas Center. A reader here reminded us how much we long to see this place again.

Click here to read all about it and re-opening efforts.  The pandemic winding down will help.

That's followed by a fabulous 1952 ad for Shiny Brite and more Christmas fun via Art Cohen--originally in black and white, we couldn't resist colorizing it.

Again click on the photos and links.

This is one of our favorite faux "flatties" from Howard--and he has made quite a few since!  Click here and keep scrolling down the page once you get there to see it - very labor intensive.

So worth looking at again--a putz extravaganza and Tom H; click here

HOWARD'S "SNEAKY SANTA"; KEEP SCROLLING DOWN THE PAGE ONCE YOU CLICK HERE

THE TREE MUSKETEERS--1948! CLICK HERE

AND FROM TOYS AND STUFF---SO PUTZABLE---we love it!  Here's an absolutely delightful station from Mettoy, the No. 5617 Joytown Station. Measuring 13" (33.02cm) W x 2 1/2" (6.35cm) D x 3 3/4" (9.52cm) H this isn't on my layout but it can swapped out with the current station at any time. Enjoy! Click here.

  1. Great links, including Howard's new flatties. I'll have to check out the Three Musketeers movie; I've never seen that adaptation. Thanks for sharing these!
