--CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNER OF THE SNOWPLOW NAMING CONTEST ; FROM THE VILLAGE FACEBOOK PAGE...The winners of the Snowplow Naming Contest are in! The Village's three largest snowplows will be named: 

"Small Walt" - Submitted by Gus, age 5
"Snow Tiger" - Submitted by Jason, age 11
"Polly the Plow" - Submitted by Ruby, age 8
 
These names will be affixed to the Village's three biggest snowplows, as well as featured in greater detail within the March 2022 Village newsletter.

-- CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WASHINGTON ENGINE COMPANY, CROTON'S OLDEST FIRE COMPANY AND THEIR RECENT HONOREES:

  • John Giglio - joined December 1944, 77 years of service, Captain 1964, Past President of WECO and current Department Safety Officer for many years. He is the department’s senior-most member and is a US Army veteran. 
  • Robert B. Anderson - joined February 1966, 56 years of service, Past President of WECO and current Vice President of WECO. Bob is a US Navy veteran. 
  • Joseph P. Streany - joined October 1969, 52 years of service. Current President of WECO, Captain in 1974-1976 and 1986-1987, Chief of Department 1982-1984 and a current Deputy Chief and Fire Council Warden for many years.
