2022 CHANGES, COMMAND STAFF, YOUR ALL VOLUNTEER CROTON FIRE DEPARTMENT

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

2022 CHANGES, COMMAND STAFF, YOUR ALL VOLUNTEER CROTON FIRE DEPARTMENT

As 2021 comes to an end and we begin 2022, our Department takes on some changes in our Command Staff.

After two years as our Chief, Phil Dinkler (in photo speaking to Chief Munson) has completed his time at the top of our executive ladder, and will “retire” into his role as a Deputy Chief.

Taking on the position of Chief is John Munson, whom served the past two years as 1st Assistant Chief.
This is his second time as our Chief, having held this job in 2012 & 2013.

Moving up to 1st Assistant Chief after two years as 2nd Assistant Chief is Josh Karpoff.

Rounding out our Chief Officers is our new-again 2nd Assistant Chief, Chris Colombo. Colombo was Chief in 2018 & 2019 and is rejoining the Chief ranks.

The following are the Company Officers elected to lead their companies this year:

Dave Altamura - Captain (E118)
Jim Ferguson - Captain (E119/T10/U14)
Bill Vlad - Captain (E120)
Chris Caterino - Captain (TL44)
John Ghegan - Captain (R18)
Tom Mosler - Lieutenant (E118)
Joe Kempter - Lieutenant (E119/T10/U14)
Sven Fabrizio - Lieutenant (TL44)
Babak Ghezelayagh - Lieutenant (R18)

We would like to thank our outgoing Chief, as well as Captains Dave & Joe Kempter - for their time, commitment & leadership this past year. We are very fortunate to have such hard-working people to depend on as our Officers.

Thank you to all, we look forward to the next chapter - our 130th year - serving Croton and beyond! #crotonfire
