First up, another great ad (1948) from the days when cellophane was new and exciting! See more here,
A friend received the HOLY GRAIL of vintage aluminum Christmas trees for her birthday yesterday---a mid-century, still in the box, never been opened, PINK aluminum Christmas tree.
Needless to say her husband has achieved the status of EMPEROR in that house....And while it's too late for this season, there are now dreams of home-made Sputnik ornaments to be made in time for next December.
Check out this great tutorial from MELO-DRAMA HERE
NEXT UP, even if you could find those giant vintage Coca-Cola Santa Claus with toy bag cut-outs from your youth on EBAY----be prepared to pay a pretty penny----
OR you could order a repro wall decal Instead from RETROPLANET IN ASSORTED SIZES---CLICK HERE.
And fiinally---from 1945---a great ad for NOMA LIGHTS---now that peace has returned. GREAT AD content.

Love the NOMA ad. I have a wooden train set NOMA produced during the war when all the brass they would have used for light bulbs was diverted into munitions manufacturing. Saying, essentially, that it would take them a while to get back up to carrying their full line was a nice bit of honesty. Thanks for sharing, Maria!
