Your editor just finished reading his book THE BOYS OF SUMMER; it is highly recommended.  REALLY!

Synopsis: The personal story of the remarkable Brooklyn Dodgers of the 1950s--including Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese, Roy Campanella and Leo Durocher. "This isn't a book; it's a love affair between a man, his team, and an era."

AVAILABLE ON AMAZON - AND SO WORTH YOUR TIME!

As many of you know, actor Peter Strauss lived in Croton and got his start in the Croton Shakespeare Festival.

We've been re-watching Strauss---and Nick Nolte--in the ground breaking mini series, RICH MAN, POOR MAN.  (1976)

It's really quite wonderful with solid performances all around and has held up remarkably well.

You can read more about it here.

AND IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: William Smith, who played the malevolent Falconetti in the series, recently died; you can read more about that here.

RICH MAN, POOR MAN, THE COMPLETE COLLECTION, is available on AMAZON HERE.

Fans all things "mid-century modern" know the name DONALD WALLANCE without a doubt.

How wonderful to be able to identify some Wallance designed flatware for a friend recently.

Read more about one of the village's most notable residents here.
