AND NOW--MORE FABULOUS WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

AS ALWAYS, SOME WONDERFUL FINDS, SPECIAL REQUESTS, OLDIES BUT GOODIES AND MORE. Click on the photos and links.

We love when we can identify pieces for our readers---and recently we are able to do so, which reminded us of this post.....Here goes:
Back in 2019, Our Saviour Lutheran Church had a very special offering at their annual Christmas Tag Sale Fundraiser.

The sale featured an extensive and very minty collection---again click on the photos sliced and diced for your close-up viewing pleasure--from the mid-1960's and The Ideal Toy Company's "Petite Princess" Fantasy Doll House furniture and accessories line.   It was a rare opportunity to own a rather complete page vintage toy history. Wonderful HAND-crafted pieces with a marvelous attention to detail.

During the post–World War II baby boom era, Ideal became the largest doll-making company in the United States.

Their most popular dolls included Betsy Wetsy, Toni, Saucy Walker, Shirley Temple, Miss Revlon, Patti Playpal, Tammy, Thumbelina, and Crissy. (STAY TUNED FOR A CHRISSY AND TAMMY POST!)

But back to the furniture featured in the photos---From a brochure: “Petite Princess Fantasy Furniture is hand crafted of satins, brocades, porcelain, brass, glass mirrors, and other fine materials. You will find soft, plush chairs and sofas, gilt-edged mirrors, dressers and cabinets with drawers and doors that really open and close. Everything you can dream of. Perfectly made, so you can play with it, collect it, and be the perfect Petite Princess."
