Welcome
to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton -- our history,
our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of
worship -- in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
On Saturday, April 2nd, Croton Caring partnered with ShopRite of Croton to hold a spring Stuff the Truck Food Drive to support the organization’s upcoming Spring Holiday Food Basket Program. The event, held in ShopRite’s parking lot, was organized in conjunction with ShopRite’s Partners in Caring initiative and accepted food donations to help combat food insecurity in Croton.
In all, 42 boxes of food were donated during the event. It was a great day, and incredible to see the outpouring of generosity, kindness and compassion from the community. The ShopRite team, the community and our wonderful volunteers were incredible, as always. As with all of our programs, the generosity and support of the community was overwhelming!”
Many community volunteers, including CHHS Students Madelyn Boglioli, Nick Godek, Samantha Sparling, Rachel Cofsky, Charlie Hayes, Sofia Ilardi, Talia Neill, Ryan Dugan and Lucas Belth, were on-hand to greet shoppers, share information, collect donations and pitch in wherever needed. During a very busy time, these individuals graciously gave up their Saturday and their efforts were instrumental in making the event a success!
Croton Caring’s Spring Holiday Food Baskets will be distributed throughout the community next weekend. The organization accepts donations of non-perishable food items on a rolling basis. Donations can be dropped off at 11 Eklof Court. http://crotoncaring.org/
