Well we're happy to report that the little girl in question loved the stuff---and thought it was so much better than the pre-packaged "glow in the dark slime" that was so popular a few years back. Maybe it's the tactile sensation, or the way it picks up newspaper or comic images--or snaps crisply in half at certain angles--or bounces when rolled into a ball.
Whatever the reason and for an hour at least, she played with something that didn't require batteries--or an electric outlet. Good enough for us. That got us to thinking about when Silly Putty first came out and....click on the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silly_Putty
p.s. Throughout 2020, you could still find Silly Putty in Robbins, Save-Mor and CVS.
