ROBERT J. "DUKE" SPATTA HAS PASSED AWAY, NOTICE FROM THE CROTON FIRE DEPT. FB PAGE

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

ROBERT J. "DUKE" SPATTA HAS PASSED AWAY, NOTICE FROM THE CROTON FIRE DEPT. FB PAGE

Our brother, Robert J. “Duke” Spatta, passed away today after a valiant battle with cancer he contracted after helping at the World Trade Center in the days following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

A Past Captain of Washington Engine Company No. 2, a former Warden of our Fire Council and a slew of other positions, “Duke,” “Big Bob,” or “Uncle Bob” was a familiar face and common site here for over 35 years. More information to follow. Please keep his family in your thoughts.  RIP #270
