FRONT COVER -Did anyone at the city Department of Education think once, let alone twice, about allowing young students to be taught lessons from a curriculum drawn up by Black Lives Matter radicals? One that idealizes a cold-blooded cop-killer?
As The Post’s Selim Algar and Lee Brown report, city public schools are joining in a Black Lives Matter at School “week of action.” The group’s Web site — which notes it is “committed to disrupting the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement,” among other beliefs that we’re pretty sure most African Americans don’t share — centers on an inspirational quote from no less than Joanne Chesimard, a k a Assata Shakur, a Black Liberation Army terrorist convicted of the 1973 execution-style murder of a New Jersey state trooper, Werner Foerster.
In 1979, she escaped prison and fled to Cuba, where’s she’s believed to remain. In 2013, the Obama administration put her on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorists list, with a $1 million award for assisting in her capture.
