First up---we just LOVE when we can help identify something a reader has added to their collection--in this case the L-O-V-E glasses shown in the catalog page---as we suspected, they are Anchor  Hocking--this page is a from a 1971 catalog. We love that Seventies Vibe!

They're followed by this wonderful Rudolph Puzzle, circa 1940's, from Montgomery Ward. 

These come up every now and then on EBAY--but not always complete or in such good condition. Prices can range anywhere from $12 to $30.

 

Rudolph is followed by an outstanding candy container, circa 1912. (Yes we love the ones that are building-shaped!) Great graphics! Here's an excellent research tool still being offered by BLUMCHEN: The 1897 F.A.O. Schwarz Catalog, Broadsheet Reprint -- Vintage Reproduction from 1970. 

 

A wonderful resource for any collector or toy enthusiast, this extra-large catalog reprint dates to 1970. We purchased a quantity of these broadsheets from an antiques dealer in the late '80s, and have had them in storage ever since. An exact reprint of the antique original, this catalog broadsheet has 12 pages of black and white etchings of children's games, dolls and doll houses, trains, iron toys and even magic lanterns!
