As always, some wonderful new finds, oldies but goodis, special requests and more. Click on the photos and links.
First up a little 'CHRISTMAS GLAMOUR" from the 1958 Sears Wishbook entitled "Christmas Glamour".
While we could never get away with the black and white balloon skirt, with or without the mistletoe, we do love it!
All that glam is followed by an ad from 1886 for Prang's Christmas cards. Absolutely beautiful. Louis Prang (March 12, 1824 – September 14, 1909) was an American
printer, lithographer and publisher.
He is sometimes known as the
"father of the American Christmas card". Read more about him here .
Next up, a fab “T.V. Bank”, 1940s, 2.25 x 4", unmarked, tin can–style bank w/ removable
top, early television console graphics, advertising for “Rodgers Sales
& Service, Harrisburg, PA” on back--and featured in a 2011 auction @ SeriousToyz.
And finally---I was recently gifted a small sample of what is known as MEYER IMPORTS DARK FUSION GLITTER. It is fascinating to see "in person". It's been around for just a few years. For those who don't know: "A stunning new development for our famous German Glass Glitters, bold colors that explodes off a black base. Dark Fusion Glitters create a multi dimensional color "pop" that is unlike any other glitter in the market today."
And they do......you have to see it for yourself; more at https://us4.campaign-archive.com/?u=47170dccdacf92b6c79eaa302&id=e3ee85158b&e=ce8e12ed60
