REMEMBERING PALISADES AMUSEMENT PARK AND MORE

The blog has had a lot of requests for the amusement parks of yesterday.....and so...

Yes, there was the history-themed Freedomland in the Bronx---click here.

And happier, less political days at Rye Playland.

But for many of us, the Queen of Amusement Parks was New Jersey's PALISADES AMUSEMENT PARK---the vinegar-soaked french fries, the Tunnel of Love, the world's largest outdoor salt water pool, and so much more--gone but not forgotten--more at http://www.palisadespark.com/index.htm

  1. I learned to swim in their salt water pool. The water was super salty but you absolutely did not sink. Great way to learn.
