First up---it's time for tomatoes!
Whether you are picking them from your own garden patch or filling a bag with "heirlooms" from Super Foodtown--or outstanding containers of cherry tomatoes from Apple Farm or ShopRite---here's some quick and easy recipe links---P.S. we also like them straight off the vine with a dash of cracked pepper and sea salt:
CAPRESE SALAD WITH BALSALMIC REDUCTION VIA ALL RECIPES
STUFFED TOMATOES--VIA MARTHA STEWART
OVEN ROASTED TOMATO & MANCHEGO TARTLETS VIA GOYA
SALMON WITH CHERRY TOMATO SALSA AND ASPARAGUS VIA PALEO LEAP
PARMESAN OVEN ROASTED TOMATOES WITH BREAD CRUMBS FROM SPEND WITH PENNIES
And as promised, here is a deceptively easy yet quick and flavorful ANGEL HAIR WITH TOMATOES AND BASIL from Ronzoni.
Pair this with a toasted crusty Italian bread (we get ours from Giovanni's--don't forget to check out the Roland Sun Dried Tomato Pesto while you are there---it's outstanding......)
And if the meat eaters in your family need something more, just add the outstanding sweet sausage from A&S Fine Foods or for a close second, the sweet sausage from PREMIO.
AND NOW SOME FABULOUS LATIN, LATIN-INSPIRED, AND HYBRID RECIPES TO FEED A SMALL ARMY
FIRST UP---AND TO THE RIGHT, a recipe for PASTA WITH CHORIZO & CHICKPEAS--and plan to try this one very soon. Thanks Carolyn!
