A HAPPY ENDING! TURTLE RESCUE AT THE DUCK POND!

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship -- in short, Everything Croton.

JUST A REMINDER---Since THE DUCK POND's remarkable recovery some years ago from a fetid, green swamp, to a clear and sparkling oasis, turtles can be seen now more than ever--and occasionally, one will try to cross the road. We found this little guy in the diner parking lot! And returned him safely to the pond---where he/she re-joined those fellow terrapins sunning themselves on the recently fallen willow tree (click on the photo--read more about the willow here).

And check out some turtle advice from
 TEATOWN HERE.

  1. We rescued a small snapper two years ago. We had a plastic bin in the back of the car and got him into that and to the lake he was headed too on Route 9!
