Welcome
to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history,
our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of
worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
One of the nicest things about Croton's recently opened Apple Farm are all those specialty items one seldom encounters in the larger supermarkets.....for now, let's talk about THE BEST POPPY SEED ROLL ever.....it's from Brooklyn's Northside Bakery--and Apple Farm has it.
Just about as authentic as you can get. Stay tuned for more.
And don't forget about Apple Farm's grand opening on 5/18-5/19.
We used to have to go to Hartsdale to get Meijei products. No more.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that Apple Farm is clearly a positive addition demonstrates that competition will ensure better quality. While this store was being constructed, we constantly heard that (a) this won't succeed because of Shop Rite and (b) it's not necessary because of Shop Rite. However, because of Shop Rite, Apple Farms knew it needed to provide a stellar product which will likely, in turn, require Shop Rite to step up its game. You see the same thing happening with the beer bars -- since Tapsmith opened, Growler has become much more active (more bands, more food trucks, more events, etc.).
ReplyDeleteCrotonites should really re-think thrashing every new business before it even opens.
Or AFTER a place opens sometimes too. They also need to be a little more careful what they put on F.B. pages.
