QUESTIONS FOR TRUSTEE OLVER, ABOUT ALL THOSE APARTMENTS

 Questions for Trustee Olver...

 "Trustee Olver says the purpose of erecting all these apartments is to have “affordable private housing for Croton people.” As Mr. Olver notes, this new building on Benedict is the first of many to come. Since the Board of Trustees is pushing this new vision as a benefit to “Croton people” how about telling us how many of the new Benedict apartments are going to “Croton people” and how much the “affordable” monthly rent will be?"

      And I'm sure there will be plenty of parking. Not. Those meeting minutes and the need for variances sure make that clear. Not to worry. Young Avenue home owners, who pay very high property taxes, won't mind giving up their parking.

      The village is 27 or 28% rental housing. That's enough.

    I see Mr. Olver responded. NOT. Guess all those "affordable apartments" aren't only going to be for Croton residents after all. But don't worry. Rents will come down.
