We had our semi-monthly MOVIE NIGHT yesterday---and chose "SUNSET BOULEVARD" starring Croton's Gloria Swanson and "Man's Man" William Holden. All we have to say is WOW, it never gets old. Von Stroheim is wonderful too.
And while Swanson did not win the Oscar for her iconic role as Norma Desmond, she did pick up the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Drama. (The Best Actress Oscar at the 23rd Academy Awards went to Judy Holliday for her performance in Born Yesterday)
