MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

As always, some wonderful new finds, special requests, oldies but goodies and much more. Click on the photos and links.

First up, a fabulous 1933 Spiegel Catalog page--JUST FOR CHRISTMAS--showing the latest men's fashions.  That's followed by something truly wild from TOYS AND STUFF, the Hasbro Twin Navy Blinker Code Lite No. 5180x300; read and see more at http://toyconnect.blogspot.com/2021/05/hasbro-twin-navy-blinker-code-lite-no.html

NEXT UP, A WONDERFUL OLDIE BUT GOODIE--a fabulous Howard Lamey castle putz--see it under construction-- click on the link http://bit.ly/QUzMip

It's followed by some ornament inspiration----If you have always wanted to make those old fashioned "Swedish/German" Straw Star ornaments you saw as a child, (SEE THE SCREENSHOT below) check out the SILVERCROW KIT FROM THEIR WEBSITE HERE.  We've been meaning to try this one for years---and so it's on the bucket list.  In truth, SILVERCROW CREATIONS is just A FAB SITE.  It's all good but their ART SUPPLIES shop has all those things you never thought you'd need or want especially!

AND FINALLY WE JUST LOVE when we can identify something for Croton's M&M's character collectors (and yes there are quite a few!)---this one is from the 2014 Valentine's offering.  Again click on the photos and links.

Marx Burnside Bridge, 1960's... THIS WOULD BE SO INTERESTING TO RE-PRODUCE! GO TO http://bit.ly/1gIEqF5

COLLECTIONS ETC. is a fun site; admittedly there's quite a bit you won't have any interest in, but when you do---they hit it out of the ballpark--click here.

It's always exciting when your editor is able to identify a piece for a reader---and this is the second time that has happened for this particular piece----albeit in different colors....

In this case, a Jersey reader inherited an early searchlight car by Lionel in very rough condition, a somewhat rare piece too in any condition.  Click on the link for more information at  http://bigindoortrains.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=76

You can always find a place for your Christmas Putz Village---and battery powered wire lights being made today (the LED's especially) make it so much easier--you can find them all in your local crafts store or all over Amazon---in case you don't have an outlet handy.

In any case, here's an oldie but goodie---Laurie's Bookcase Top Putz Village; some very early pieces at http://www.cardboardchristmas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=984

BY SPECIAL REQUEST-- A "Faux feather tree" tutorial from Howard Lamey - looks like fun http://www.familychristmasonline.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=58
