FROM THE VILLAGE NEWSLETTER; Update on Zoning Study Timeline The Village has received the final report from BFJ Planning on the North Riverside/Municipal Place Gateway Area Zoning Study, and this report is available on the Village’s website. The Board of Trustees reviewed the final report at their work session on September 9th and the video from this work session is also available to watch on the Village’s website. The Village Board has agreed to move forward with the recommendations presented in the report, namely to rezone certain sections of North Riverside Avenue, lower Brook Street and the Municipal Place Gateway.
The next step in the process, at the October 7th Village Board meeting, is for the Village to declare itself Lead Agency for SEQRA purposes, and refer the draft law to the Village Planning Board, Waterfront Advisory Committee, and the Westchester County Planning Department for their comments. On October 7th, the Village also intends to schedule the first public hearing on this matter for October 21st. It is anticipated that the Public Hearing will remain open for at least one additional meeting.
