REMEMBERING TED WILLIAMS

Who died this date in 2002 - Theodore Samuel Williams (August 30, 1918 – July 5, 2002, click on the photo) was an American professional baseball player and manager. He played his entire 19-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career as a left_fielder for the Boston Red Sox from 1939 to 1960, excepting service time during World War II and the Korean War.     One of the greatest to ever step up to the plate. His performance during the Korean War was exceptional! Thanks for sharing Frank's Flickr album. There's some great ones in there! (Rob)
