A QUICK TRIP TO THE MEADOWS FARM, JULY 2019

Sometimes it's the little things in life. Like a quick jaunt with an old friend to one of our favorite places, The Meadows Farm in Yorktown Heights.  Click on the photos and links.

Located at 329 Underhill Avenue, TMF is family owned and operated with a proud history. You can read more about it here.  (On another note we were very sad to hear that TMF's Richard "Sonny" Woodward passed away recently.  Our condolences to his wife and family.)

In addition to many unusual varieties of produce and honey (depending on the time of month), Meadows is currently featuring MY GRANDMA'S OF NEW ENGLAND coffee cakes.....and everything you have heard is true---this IS the best coffee cake EVER, period.  

Meadows is also one of the few markets that sells outstanding potted varieties of zinnias---and all without the cursed powdery mildew that seems to plague these flowers when amateur gardeners (like your editor!) try to grow them from scratch.

And seasonal hanging baskets too.
