Sad to say, this blog continues to receive inquiries about the "affordable" apartments being built on Benedict Boulevard and how to "apply for them". It's easy to understand this confusion given Trustee Olver's recent Gazette letters on the subject. To those asking, these apartments are market-rate---as far as is known--and not affordable, i.e. subsidized, as has been implied. Please direct your questions to the village board of trustees at https://www.crotononhudson-ny.gov/home/pages/contacts-directory instead.

Can you fill us in on why these apartments should be "affordable"? Did the town provide funding to the developers?
ReplyDeleteSorry no, you really should address your questions to Mr. Olver regarding his original letter, or to the board, village staff, whatever.
