HORRIFIC SEWER SMELL BACK ON NORTH RIVERSIDE
Your editor continues to receive many questions and comments on this problem. As mentioned--in recent years past, it has been attributed to over-capacity issues, filter issues, etc. Workers have been seen at the site recently. However, the issue remains a hazard. Residents are advised to contact village officials directly: https://www.crotononhudson-ny.gov/home/pages/contacts-directory
I remember there was an older woman who used to come to meetings for many years. I think the village said it was a nursing home issue and because of additional development there. It does not seem to have gotten any better. This is something that should be taken into consideration with any re-zoning scheme. If the sewer system over there can't handle what's in it already, how will it handle more?
ReplyDeleteThis problem is just getting worse. And yes what will happen when they decide to build? I heard one resident say they couldn't entertain at there home because of this odor.
