ReplyDeleteMaria, love your beautiful once in a lifetime photograph. Living just above the Croton River Valley, we are lucky enough to see them cruise by daily at eye level. We never take them for granted. For 10 of 15 years we also used to have osprey nest at the upper and lower rapids, but in the last ten years they are rarely seen. Most dramatic sight was an eagle attacking a blue heron while in flight. What a racket. I couldn't see the result due to the foliage at the time
