Born on September 17, 1946, in Yonkers, NY, to the late Albert and Catherine (Bartel) Coyne, Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army (1966-1968) before he dedicated his life to his craft, his family, and the outdoors he loved so dearly. Before his retirement in 2001, he owned and operated Performance Engineering from 1971 to 1983, specializing in automotive repair and competition race cars.
