Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
VINTAGE CROTON! For years we have heard about a train store/hobby shop that existed here in the village circa mid-1970's---in what was the old Coton North train station, now housing an electrical firm. No one could remember the name and there was nothing in the historical society files.
Today, however, a friend located not one, but two ads in a MODEL RAILROADING MAGAZINE--THE LARGER ONE IS FROM 1977; THE SMALLER ONE BELOW IS FROM 1976. The name of the store was THE ROUNDHOUSE or THE ROUNDHOUSE I--there were three of them, assorted locations.
We're working on more info. For now, click on the images.
