1935 PLAYMAKERS STILL PLAY WITH MENTION OF THE STUDIO THEATRE OF CROTON-ON-HUDSON

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

One of the Everything Croton Elves stumbled upon this 1935 article which mentioned the STUDIO THEATRE OF CROTON-ON-HUDSON (PRESUMABLY THE CROTON PLAYHOUSE IN SOME ITERATION). It also mentions Elizabeth Farrar, an American stage performer active primarily in the 1930s, known for her Broadway work. As for Eugenia Rawls, she was a prominent American stage and television actress best known for her role in the original 1939 Broadway production of The Little Foxes. We'll be checking on some of other names mentioned and update this post accordingly. Click on the images below.
